When I met Marcel in the UK, our first conversation made it clear how much we shared. We had both tried countless products, including the big brands, but neither of us had found what we were looking for. So we started talking about what we would create for ourselves.

Our starting point was simple: pure 2FX® with psyllium husk. We talked, discussed, questioned and tweaked. Through that exchange, step by step, the formula became Pyour Synergii.

The name Synergii carries that belief. “Synergy” reflects our intention behind the formula: ingredients chosen to work together. The “ii” reminds us that synergy always takes more than one; in family, in friendship, in partnership. For Pyour, it started with the two of us.

Why did you decide to start Pyour?

Pyour was born from a long-standing belief that gut health deserves a more complete and science-driven approach. After decades of research into the microbiome and seeing firsthand how modern life disrupts gut balance, the goal became clear: translate proven scientific insight into something people could use every day. 
 
Rather than building another supplement brand, Pyour was created to bring a deeper, ecosystem-based philosophy of gut health to a wider audience.

What is the family history behind Pyour?

The roots of Pyour go back to the 1990s, when Medical Biologist Dr. Annelize Goedbloed and her son Floris Koumans Sr. worked with researchers at the VU Medical Center in Amsterdam on microbiome-focused innovations. 

Their work led to the development of the 2QR-Complex (the predecessor of the 2FX-Complex). 2FX-Complex, a patented mechanism designed to support microbial balance without destroying beneficial bacteria.
